Alright talk looking for kayak handles and a bow hatch not really looking to pay Oex $300 to replace all this i need 4 handles and one now hatch pm me if you have any of this

OEX has always had pretty fair prices, and Andy or one of his cohorts have always taken very good care of me. If you can't afford their prices, you may need to make your own handles.

Broke my original handles and replaced with oem. They broke less than one year later. The diy ones I've made have lasted months of heavy use with no signs of giving. Pvc, cord, drill, hacksaw and your done in 15 minutes

I did exactly what John is talking about a few months back, the front handle on my Outback was hanging on by a thread or two. After talking to Roby he gave me the DIY idea and let me tell you, it was extremely easy to do. I have everything that I needed so it cost me nothing to make.

Here's what I used

3/4" PVC
old hoop net rope
hacksaw
drill

that was it............Easy Peasy Japanesey

That's great but I have a bigger problem I will show u pics in a few tomorrow on what I'm dealing with have several drill holes in it and what can I do with them

Holes can be patched.... What Malibu do you need a hatch cover for?

Goop is fine. If you need structural support then plastic weld

Take your yak to OEX, they can plastic weld the holes so you will never know where they were. OR Hobie makes a welding kit with a soldering iron and different pieces of colored kayak material. But most of us shave off a piece of plastic from the yak and fill the hole with soldering iron and plastic, please do not use torch unless you have excelect skills. You can practice on a 5 gallon bucket to get the feel for the technique, shave off some plactic, drill some holes and try filling them. Within a half hour you should get the hang of it. Good luck.

You can try a product call Sun Cure available at any surf shop or Amazon use to repair surfboard. Make sure you get it in clear. I used in to repair my hobie bait tank work great. You can sand it down with hand sander or by hand. Good luck.
