never had the elite 4 but for the money I would go with the Elite 4 color gps ff combo.

I have the mark4hdi if I was todo it again Id spring the extra 100 an get the elite 4hdi with 83/200+455/800 ducer
The mark4 is a sweet unit though a lot packed into a tiny ff/GPS and more than enough screen on a yak

The new Elite 4 HDI is impressive and oddly the price did not go up, it actually went down considering, still $299 with a larger screen (same height as the 5) higher pixel count for more detail, thicker wires, separate power cable and transducer, combining the down scan and broadband sonar in one (DSI alone was usually $350)..........and they include the in line fuse now!
The new Mark 4HDI for $199 only reads broadband, you need to make sure it includes the 455/800 which is around $230

The Cabelas special is without the down scan capability, you need to buy the one for $229 to have that.
Broadband Sounder produces sharp images of fish
4.3" grayscale display
Advanced signal processing
TrackBack for reviewing past sonar results
83/200kHz DualBeam transducer
