Headed to the artificial reef number 1 on Saturday morning. Still waiting for the big halibut to take the bait. As you see on the map, the AR 1 is a little further paddle, but I've been told it's worth it. Open invite to anyone who wants to head out. Channel 71. Launch Saturday apr. 19 between 630-7 am.

It's a short paddle. Oceanside has bait too. It is probably a 30 min paddle. Ff with gps is pretty much a requirement. Almost impossible to find it without one

I'd be interested in going but want to program my unit ahead of time. Where can I find the specific coordinates

Even if you don't have the fishfinder with gps currently and want to go, we will help you stay on top of the reefs, as most of is will have FF with GPS

That's a good distance.

That's a good distance.

I average 4 mph hour on my PA

At that rate I am there in 22.5 minutes:D

I like the exact time estimate Brandon... Haha stoked that I will have the gps/ff this time.

No markers out there but usually you will see other boats on the spot. It takes me about 40-45 min. to paddle the distance.

The current really starts to kick up around 11:00 and gets hard to hold the spot so an anchor can help out here.

Have fun and post your experience.

Ummm, I could be wrong, but your line is pointed at the AR2 reefs. I thought the AR1 reefs were the ones south towards the pier.

The screen shot I took is indeed the ar2 . I just didn't erase the line
