I can't hang them off my back with the Harbor Freight bed extender. Looks like I need to invest in a rooftop carrier for my 2008 Tundra. Any specif details on manufacturers and Model numbers? I will be taking up a Malibu X factor and and a stealth, Both 14 feet.

Thanks in advance.

Will they or can they be mounted on top of the trailer?

Thule sportier just push them far enough forward that the kayaks don't interfere with the trailer while turning.

The Yakima Outdoorsman 300 truck rack system works great for me. Here are a few photos I've dug up. There are different mounting systems that attach to the cross bars. I've used the Mako Saddles, Hulley Rollers and Hull Raiser with no problems. 14 hour trips from Ventura to LA Bay in Baja several x's without any problems!

Do you have a cap on the back of your truck?
