Had an awesome weekend with friends this weekend catching bass, mandarin fish, and river tarpon! Got some underwater footage as well. Check out the video: https://vimeo.com/98325166

If you like this video, please feel free to check out my other videos on Vimeo as well.

That underwater video is just badass. Never seen so many free swimming fish filmed like that. Cool vids keep em coming!

Nice vid! I used to have a mandarin fish in my collection back in the day. Glad that jackass boater was able to swerve out of the way in the nick of time.

Thanks guys. Jaysuuun - what do you mean? In aquarium? That would be awesome. Saw them in an aquarium at a tackleshop, seem to be pretty hardy.

Boater was more of a nuisance than anything. Nothing against boaters, but dude kept doing circles all day with jet skis too.

Yes in an aquarium. I collected a bunch of exotics back in the day; peacock bass, mandarin fish, Nile perch, FW stingrays, snakeheads, payara, African tiger, various piranhas just to name a few. Many of these predatory species quickly outgrew my tank and had to part with them. Costly to feed too!

Nice! I have aquariums too, need to set the 125G up when I get home to Japan in Aug. Usually keep it saltwater, but if I could have a mandarin, I'd love too.

Wow! great fishing and great film! I been there and never new the fishing was like that. I am showing my Korean in-laws your video and going in October. Thank for the new adventure idea.

Can you rent kayaks there at the Naktong Kang?

Was wondering how long it would take for a fellow military person coming to Korea to see the vids. Have some others you can checkout as well.

I don't know of any freshwater kayak rentals but can put you in touch with Hobie kayak folks who may be able to point you in the right direction.
