Hopped in the truck this morning, just after 5am. Turn the key to a bzzzzz- click.:(
Fortunately one of the neighbors was loading up for a day at the swap meet and gave me a jump. :D

Anyhow, it was a beautiful, full moon morning. Parts of the drive into LJ felt like I was going to drive right into the moon.
Got out to the zone around 6ish and started making bait. Took a while, but got 6 nice greenies.
Tried the double rod troll today. One fly line and one with a 2 oz weight.
Dogs were on me like stink on....
6 greens lasted about an hour. Drifted back in a bit to make more and was only able to come up with a couple Spanish for about an hour. Meanwhile I started talking to a fellow angler on a PA 14, who was having the same experience. We were talking, both on our last mac, we spot a dog coming our way. His got hit first as he tried to retrieve it. I was hastily cranking mine in and suddenly hooked into a fish.
Just a bonito, but as I got it to the boat
WHAM, SPLASH!!!
Dog comes running at it from below and flies out of the water with it. 2 feet from me!
After that, made a few more macs for more of the same.
At one point, I had birds diving nearby and paddled over, threw iron into the pit for one more bonito.
Saw some guys on a boat trying to be sneaky, but they were shooting the dogs with a paintball gun. :D
Didn't see anyone hook up.
Another Sunday
Probably going to take next Sunday off. Going on a 3/4 day the following Tuesday.

Was out yesterday sounds like a repeat from my session. Dogs were brave even slammed my yak on the retrieve, out came the gaff.

Damn dogs were out of control today! Frustrating to say the least.

Sure was an awesome moonset/ sunrise though!

It's amazing how affective a sling shot and marbles keep the dogs at bay...

I was thinking maybe some of that bear repellent.

I recently thought about killing a Mack or two (if bait is plentiful) and injecting it with some hot sauce...and I'm not talking about the bait attractant :D and chumming me up a dog or two. I'm sure that would be a violation and considered "harassment" but it seems like it's just a matter of time before we read about a dog jumping on a just gaffed :wsb: or :yt: that was landed on a Yak!
I've been reading reports of some of you pulling your fish out of the water "just" before a dog got a free meal. :the_finger:
:cheers1: to those of you that managed to salvage your catch before a dog got it!

Just hook up on a 200lb thresher when the dogs are annoying you and leave it hanging for a while.

Bummer you lost a bonito to the damn furbag. At least it wasn't a YT or WSB!

I was told you can defend your self with a wrist rocket or non lethal methods like paintball guns. anyone know?

Even if that is legal, it would be a judgement call on the wardens part as to whether or not you were actually defending yourself.

Cherry bombs, bear repellent and hot sauce all sound good.
Maybe some of that Dave's insanity or some other, nearly lethal hot sauce.
Don't get caught.
