I didn't see another boater or kayaker.
Launched at 6:15 ish, took the mandatory cold one to the face at 6:17 then realized my hand bilge pump was gone. It was gray light foggy and I was cold and wet. Made my way towards domes, then found bouys and the kelp. In no time I found the spansh and greenies. Found enough for the morning and some lobster bait.
No goofing around and casting for bass... I pin the biggest greenie and fly lined that kelp area fighting a constant south wind, i was on a treadmill. Probably should have trolled south. I don't know, but time was ticking. . . I paddled towards shore.
From the Plant north to south end of parking lot, in about 15 ft of water, I hooked 4 halibut, 2 farmed (1 legal popped hook while I was goofing around w. the go pro), 1 released, 1 legal (27") kept.
Water was 69
cold and foggy
current swift down-stream
wind was forecast at 9mph (felt every bit of it + some)
Off the water by 1:30 incident free.
