Launched a 0630 to flat conditions. Making bait was tough all day. Only managed 3 Spanish macs. Trolled the macs till 1630 and gave up. No La Jolla love for me today.
Mike, thanks for the greenbacks, unfortunately I couldn't make anything happen with them.
Had great weather all day with flat conditions, water temp 68 degrees.
Getting around all of the lobster trap was a challenge. Not much life out there, even the seals left me alone

Thanks for the report, did you work the bottom at all or just fly line?

I only worked the bottom for an hour at the end of the day

I went out yesterday and it was the same. Bait was hard to make. It was a very nice day out on the water, like being on a lake. But the fishing wasn't great. There wasn't much life out there.

Sven, glad to meet you and you are welcome for the greenies. I spent nine hours on the water that day with nothing to show for it. Mike

Maybe out in a boat at the 9 mile bank or further. On the VHF you can hear all the talk. Show us your pictures.

Really let's see your catch???? Not everything is as simple as it appears on the internet....

No doubt, your definition of wide open is clearly different than mine...

I haven't been out in quite a while, but recent reports indicate that the local yellas are being caught in deep water near bottom. Dropper loop style.

What about my first handed report saying they're not....:D
