40 lb and 4 oz

Launched at 3:15, got bait. Dumped a 7# hali boatside right away. Got this one a couple hours later. Broke a treble hook with his jaws. Game clips are a good thing. Never freaked out on me.

Tyler, that's your personal best right?My second ever legal hali would have been the 7# model I dumped boatside, so instead it was this one. My only other legal was a 26" one for WCW last year. This is a pb by far. I have never had any luck with halibut fishing, and I don't have any skill at it either. I took some advice from some experts and it paid off finally. I have been pounding sand and trying on and off for this one for over a year now. It was a great day for halis as Adi and Brad connected in the morning, and this one chewed in the afternoon.

Sweet flattie. I've never had much confidence fishing for them in the PM but that shows it can be done. Ready to go ghostbusting?:D
