I am heading out this Saturday to the HOW event. I have never fished Tidelands before. You have any suggestions?

Thanks
John

Spotties are everywhere you just need move around the edges of the boats and around the bridge pillars. Small 3" soft baits and gulps will always get you something...now legal is another problem out there...lots of smalls the big girls don't show up for me often...good luck you will have fun

1/4, 3/8 or 1/2 ounce lead head. Depends on wind and drift. Keep it bouncing along the bottom. Your choice of plastics. Chartreuse is a go to color as is pearl and electric chicken. They love the Z-Man shrimp. Don't forget to try the drop shot technique. They will also crush long lined sinking crank baits.

Dennis, you are due for a respool. Put on some braid and feel the difference.

Try fishing deep in the channel with a 1 oz. jighead or football head with 4-5 inch swimbaits or grubs. Do the wind and grind or just let out about 30-50 yards of line and reel in slowly or not much at all if the current is strong. When you feel anything reel fast to take up the slack.

1 to 1.5 oz. spinnerbaits on the bottom work too.
