Who was out hooping the south side of Zuniga tonight? Did you see all the commotion from the base police?

We were out there hooping the jetty. A group of 5 swimmers looking for bugs swam from the base and were captured on the cameras. The officers ensured us we did nothing wrong and it was the swimmers they were after. However they had us land our kayaks onto the beach and took down our information. Figured it was easier to comply than create a scene. Ironically the fishing shut down after that.

The irony is that when one of the friendly divers asked if you were on the boards one of the guys in your group played coy. Fishing was probably slow because your hoops were in 8 ft of water.... By the time you got back in your yaks after beaching the 2nd time to talk to the police (odd) we were free to go, with a complimentary lift back to our trucks. Tight lines

Glad you guys didn't get into trouble and got a lift back. The other kayaker is new to the sport and has never heard of the forum. Luckily we only had to beach that one time.
