Just in case there is still any confusion, our event is going to be out of the grassy area by OEX Mission Bay.

For those coming down to help plan on getting there around 7 to help set up. We are trying to get 40 Vets out for the event but never know how actual turn out will be. Thanks to everyone who has stepped up to help out.

And a BIG THANKS to Ful-Rac for donating 22# of Halibut to make some tasty tacos. :cheers1::you_rock:

See you all there

Matt,

Looking like showers have entered the forecast, still good to go? Let me know if you guys need any specific kayaks.

Currently showers look like afternoon/evening hopefully it stays that way. We're still going for it and hoping for the best.

Andy, the only thing we may need is a couple hobies, we are a never sure of what disabilities people may have so having access to a pedal drive would help.

I will be there. I will be bringing tables and chairs and a couple of Marines to help out. So far I have three that want to lend a hand and hopefully get on the water to do some fishing.

Sorry for the late notice but I will be unable to attend this event but was wondering if anyone from South OC (San Clemente to Irvine) is going and is willing to pick up something from makobob for me. I'll come get it from you at time convenient to you.

Let me know if this works for someone.

It's coming together nicely guys. 30 Vets so far, possibly hitting 40 by the evening.

My GF is excited to help out so I'm bringing her tomorrow.
Told her that she's the newest volunteer so she has to cut up and bag the squid. :D
Looking forward to another great event!

Matt, Mike and Bob, thank you for all you efforts yesterday. It was unfortunate that we did not have a great turnout, but the quality of the organization was certainly there with tons of generous support! I look forward to being at the next one!

Bob,

Thanks so much to you and all the folks responsible for putting
this together.
You got me out of my chair and back on the water.
I hope everyone enjoys the blades. I would appreciate if they
would post up how they do with them and what color and weight
they are using so I can make more.

Rich, very generous of you to hand these out! I love fishing the blade and tied on one of your 1 oz white ones and caught 7 spotties that morning with lots more bumps too. Looking forward to throwing the 2 oz chartreuse one I got as well! Thanks again!

I was trolling it and tossing it on 30 pound braid with a short mono shock leader. you could feel the blade spinning and when you were just skimming the grass.

Rich,
Thanks so much for taking the time to make those for us and for coming out Saturday.
My GF and I used the 1oz white ones. She scored two spotties.
It seemed that your lures were the go to tackle of the day.
Thanks for joining us and I hope to see you at future events.
