Rich, the September La Jolla Tournament will be happening, but may not be a HOW event. I have been discussing with Paul about making this a Memorial Tournament with the funds going to The James Lebowitz Scholarship this year.

Good day guys I wanted to find out times for the event on the 7th this is my first event with HOW I wanted to also find out if I can pay there or if I have to pay up front I will be driving down from LA and really looking forward to this event

There is NO charge for any of the HOW events. What we do is sponsor disabled vets and their families to a day of kayak fishing and lunch. If you are interested, we are looking for people who want to help (mentors) with showing and helping the participants on the water or helping on shore.

Please private message me regarding your on the water and fishing experience. It doesn't have to be in great detail but where, when, and how long you have been kayak fishing would be great.

This is not a tournament.
HEROES ON THE WATER is a national non profit organization. We are the Southern California Chapter and provide a day of kayak fishing to disabled veterans and their families to help them enjoy the physical and therapeutic aspects of our sport. Our monthly events are a lot of fun and really do help our guests.
If you're looking for a way to meet some new people while helping a great cause then let me know.
We are a group of volunteers who are also kayak anglers.
You do not need to be a veteran to volunteer with us.
It is free to veterans and volunteers alike.
Lunch is served also.
