That is one nice looking fish! How do you store it on the yak? or do you leave it on the stringer in the water?

That pig was probably around 45 pounds.....BEFORE the sea lion got a half of it.
Seriously, that is a big fish....

Are you finding that the fishing is better out from your house that over at San Roque?.

Sven, I am still learning my way around in front of my place, while I feel pretty confident in the San Roque area. Today was the first day I launched at San Roque. I hit the spots where we found them over Thanksgiving but found nothing but huge bonito out there. The wind was picking up a little so I decided to head in and spend a little time at that half way reef on the way in. I was coming up from 135 ft to about 100 and started marking. One cast and it was off to the races. Came in after I landed it but was still marking a lot of fish. Most fish have been under the red crab so far.

I have the OK Trident with the rod pod so it goes in the hull

Didn't take you long to get back in the saddle after your dog attack.
Shes a slug.
The fish, not the payasO who caught it.

You're living the Baja life. Fighting off dogs one day, and landing a beast the next.
Very nice.

What impresses me even more than the fish, is that you have an Internet connection there...
