View Full Version : 3/28 HOW event volunteer headcount
Hi everyone.
We are getting close to our next event on Saturday March 28th and we need a head count of who is available to volunteer.
I spoke with Matt Grisso yesterday and he told me that it looks like we could easily be at capacity with 40 guest veterans so we're hoping for a good turn out of volunteers next week.
Please post up if you're planning on making it.
Thanks,
Mike

I will be there! I live very close to Mission Bay and I can bring extra kayaks, grill, tables, coolers, let me know how I can help. Since I am so close I can be there early to set up

I'm in. Whatever I need to do just let me know.
What time does it start
We like to have volunteers show up between 6:30 and 7.
This gives us time to set up and have a quick meeting before our guests arrive.

I will let you know by next week if I will make it. Hopefully we will get a good turn out this time.

As always we hope you can make it!
While we can never guarantee exactly how many veterans will actually be able to show up, we have been working extra hard to make sure the turnout for all future events is as high as possible.

Thanks everyone for the headcount.
From what I was told we will be having a great turnout of heroes this Saturday. I've checked all posts regarding your participation and it looks like we are going to have a nice turnout of volunteers too.
I really enjoy the HOW events and am looking forward to Saturday.
By the way...... There is another way that everyone can easily support our Southern California Chapter and that's on Facebook. I've been periodically updating the page with different related HOW news.
If you hit "LIKE" and "SHARE" on our HOW page it helps spread the word of who we are. This is a great organization and the more people that know about it the better.
To find the page just do a Facebook search for HEROES ON THE WATER SOCAL or Southern California.
Thanks everyone for your support!

Buying a house and start moving on Saturday. I really want to be there cuz I haven't been on the water in forever but the wife would keep the house to herself if I am not around.

That's a pretty good reason not to make it. Congratulations on the new home!
While I volunteer for a lot of things moving someone is definitely NOT one of them. It is at the top of my list of things I hate to do.
Congratulations again!

Well, truck is in the shop - pcm module died. So, it looks like I'm ground support tomorrow as I'm not setup to move a PA14 on my commuter car. I'm still showing though...
