While out at the jewel showing a buddy the ropes, managed this fatso on my Phenix M1 and got worked. Fish went 23# - 30 in.

Congrats on the nice yellow. I was out there yesterday and stayed out further north and at times above the canyon, but other than bait I had no luck. Didn't even see any marks on the FF. I started paddling back in around 12:20. The wind had picked up around 11:00 and not only white caps everywhere but sometimes the large swells would actually break like waves. It was a really a large washing machine out there. The landing was no problem timed it right and stayed dry.
