Well, I have decided that I will be putting my outback up for sale and investing in a different hull... more specifically the Revo. For those that own the 2015 model is the vantage seat that much better? Any big differences between the 2014 model and the 2015? I'm still young so my back doesn't hurt after a full day of fishing, just wondering if it's worth the extra money to get the 2015 model.

I have an outback and PA12. If u already have a yak cool. But if u have the option for vantage seating, I think it's a no brainer. Just my 2 pennies

2015 all the way. The seat wasn't the only upgrade. To the outback at least. Flattened deck, steering moved, better handles and more balanced. Gonna be on the 2015 outback for a loooong time. Have owned a 2013 revo, and a 2014 pro angler. I met in the middle with the 15 outback and couldn't be happier with my choice.

having spent a lot of time in the 2015 Revo 13, I will say, yes worth paying the extra for the latest and greatest from Hobie.

Same here, I went from a 2012 Revo to the 2015 Outback. What a difference! I would suggest you look at the Outback first, fast, stable and comfortable.

Had been on an OK prowler BG and loved that kayak - just got a 2015 revo 16 and the seat is probably one of my favorite features. I can recline pretty much all the way, sit up real straight, if I ever feel stiff just switch up the seat - also real dry ride its nice

I recently switched from a Tarpon 120 to a 2015 Revo and couldn't happier. I tested the Outback and the 2014 Model Revo and the seat really made a huge difference for me(two fractured vertebrae). I think the Outback might offer an improved fishing platform for most, but I enjoyed the Revo's design, speed and simplicity. I also paddled both and found the Revo's paddling ability more natural due to its design. I believe there was an improvement to the mirage drive with the glide technology, although Im not 100% sure. Ive launched the Revo a few times in small surf and have found it to perform very well.

Rad thanks for the replies guys. I already have an outback. Making the switch to a revo after using my friends. I was just debating on picking up the new 2015 or finding an older model. Looks like I'll just pick up some more shifts and get the 2015.

:wsb:I have a 2015 PA14 and that Vantage seat is amazing! I sat in my yak for 12 hours one day with no back problem..I have chronic upper back pain and no issues when I go out

You won't regret saving for the 2015. I can't see what other major improvements they can make for the next couple years so you'll probably keep that one a good while without needing an upgrade.
