Here we go again! If you showed for HOW SoCal's last event in June, we'd love to see you again. Actually, we NEED to see you again! However, before you come you must sign up via the link on this months flyer.

It is very important you read it thoroughly, as there have been a few changes to how the SoCal Chapter does business. Remember, HOW SoCal and its volunteer staff serves "DISABLED VETERANS". If you advertise HOW in an effort to bring in more participants, we ask that you solicit the appropriate audience. "DISABLED VETERANS".

If you have any logistical questions, Mike Weist is your go to guy.

We look forward to seeing you very soon!

I'm registered and excited to help out. I signed up for land volunteer, but I can be on the water as well if needed there.
I can loan a 12' Wilderness Tarpon and 8' Ocean Kayak Yak Board (good for lightweight adult or youngster).

I can never get the sign up sheet to work, but that's OK
I never eat there anyway. I'm planning on being there
with a new batch of spinnerbaits.
Something you might consider. Many old vets don't use
computers a lot so you may be aliminating folks who just can't
figure out your sign up system.

Very good point. Will bring it up at our meeting after the event next week. Any suggestions are always welcome.

Sorry guys I am going to have to miss this one. I just got a call from my RV dealer saying I have to pick it up on Saturday instead of Sunday (its in Montclair). Really sorry guys! Geez it seems like everything is working against me when it comes to these HOW events. I really am not this much of a flake!

Tomorrows event may be canceled due to weather. If it is canceled I will post something here. If there is not an update here, then we are still on. To the 17 volunteers out of the 636 views, we thank you!

Sorry guys, with the active Thunder and Lightning going on I'm not heading down. Something about lightning, and being in a plastic boat holding a lightning rod and sitting on the water doesn't sound like a good combo to me.

I agree with Jimmy. I'll fish in the rain if I have to
but not when it is supposed to be an enjoyable day
on the water.

It was a very enjoyable day on the water. We pulled the yaks in a bit early. The weather forked around us until about half way through lunch. A great time was had by all. A big thank you goes out to those that came through and made this happen!
