That is one lucky bloke. But the leash and missed his leg. All caught on live TV coverage. Pretty crazy!

Heard it IDed as a bull shark, You can tell the guy thrashing lights up the shark. His board gets hit hard, lucky he had it in front of him, you can tell the shark bolts after hitting it.........scary!

That is one lucky dude, but if you look at the video, it becomes clear the shark is checking him out and bumping him. His leg kicking kept his legs out of the way of the sharks mouth, the shark then goes under him coming out the other side hitting the board and smacking him in the face with the tail. Had the shark really been on an attack to begin with, he would have been toast and blood all over. Very lucky guy indeed!

I agree on the ID. A lot of the US media is claiming great white great white great white but I dont think it was. I also dont think he would have any worry except it got hung up in the leash which caused it to start to thrash.
