Hit the water this morning at 7am, started trolling fines at 9ish, hooked up at 10am. 50-60lb BFT!!! Had them jumping all over my brother and I. Coolest thing I ever saw. Unfortunately did not have a gaff. Had the BFT at the side of the kayak for about 10min. Tried putting a strap around its tail. Thing took off out of my hand and snapped my Black Diamond Hybrid and kept the hook for good luck. Managed a 30lb YT on the way back in.

Thank goodness for the nice yellowtail catch, as losing that TOAD bluefin would be even harder to swallow. BTW, anybody who's seen big tuna circling knows that 50-60lbs on your bluefin at color in your photos isn't an exaggeration.
