Got this beauty off Carlsbad this morning. Flylined Greenback about 300 yards west of kelp. Missed the first strike around 9 am, but was picked up again within 10 minutes. Called it an early day as I don't need more than 1 of these babies. where do you launch at in Carlsbad and is there a big surf where you launch at?

I would love to fish Cbad but with the PA not much of an option unless I want to launch at Oside harbor and head 6miles down the coast.

What about the Carlsbad Lagoon is that a good place to launch a kayak from for fishing?

No water contract on the west part of the lagoon. Can't launch from it.
