Carlsbad Yellow

So since everyone is sharing ... I went out Sunday afternoon. Made some macks headed west towards the canyon and I get hit HARD. I don't think it was a yellow ,100 yards in seconds. The bait comes back with deep gashes. Oh well maybe a shark? Hook up again in 250ft, a nice local fish 1.5 miles out . Looked super fishy that day. I only saw one skiff that day.

Where did you launch from? have you ever tried launching from Ponto Beach? Are there any restricted areas there?

North of warm waters Jetties, South of tamarack. No restrictions that I know of or crowds.

I fished from 1-4pm It was choppy, but fishy :rolleyes: If surf is low, I will be hitting it up!
