Got out late from work, launched after dark, forgot my gloves. Small swell meant I could hoop more shallow water. Found a good spot far enough away from the commercial buoys and started dropping 4 hoops about 50 yds apart. I went back to pull the first one and found that something had chewed through the netting and taken my bait, I initially assumed a sea lion. Added more bait and zip tied it all up and moved that hoop to the other end of my other hoops. Starting getting several shorts per pull and a couple of Morey Eels. One was huge and had it's head stuck inside the bait net it had chewed through. I wish I could have gotten a picture of it but I was more interested in getting it to go away quick. :o I pulled about 25 to 30 short lobster, no keepers. Nice evening on the water.
No gloves, not recommended.
