I took the concept from here:
http://www.kayakfishingmagazine.net/articles/139-kayak-fishing-how-to-articles/1801-ez-kayak-stand.html
This took about 1/2 hour to make once I purchased all the parts. Cost about $50 for parts. Was worth it because my kayak was being stored on its wheels, which isn't ideal. Fun Labor Day project. It stands about 26" high, and is about 27" wide. My kayak is 29" wide.
