Picked up anchovies so small they barley fit on the hook. Went out in the late a.m. 1/2 mile or less south of the harbor we found some birds and boils. It was a huge hungry school of bonita. they we slamming the chovies as so as they would hit the water. Kept a few for less picky fish eaters and lobster bait....anyone ever do smoked bonita? Im thinking i should buy a smoker.

If bled and iced right away Bonito makes some of the best sashimi.

I smoked some a few weeks ago, It was okay. I prefer YT.

Good smoked, use oak chips.
