How far

this has probably been asked a million times but how far is it to where you can start fishing from the LJ launch area? How do you know when you are legal?

Download Fish Alerts app. It will show you where you are in relation to the MLPA boundaries so you know when it's safe to fish.

Just don't rely on the fish regs and bag limit portion of the app because it is incorrect

what is the name of the fish alerts app. I go to the app store and get about 100 hits when I type in fish alerts

When your almost to the kelp, line up the palm tree with the flag pole( look up and too the left at LJ) or just wait for lobster season because the lobster pots will be lined up on the border.
