Here is a quick vid of our trip I slapped together. I have a fresh baby at home so I wasn't able to perfect it. At least you'll get somewhat of an idea of our trip. Hope you all enjoy, cheers!

lol! Thanks momo! I've always wanted to catch a Jack Crevalle! It was a lengthy battle with light tackle, almost fell like I was close to losing it several times. Aside from the whale sharks, and other cool fish, it definitely was the highlight of the trip for me. Looking forward to next time for sure! :cheers1:

Great video Mike, Thanks for coming down again. Yes this is a fly fisherman's paradise. I will continue to host this October trip as long as I can. It is EPIC every year. FLY fishermen WELCOME. More posts to follow I am sure. Thank you all for coming to share paradise.

:D

Nice video compilation.

Were there any women there? (Just curious.)

That place looks like paradise for hedonists.

I love adventure trips to Baja. I love primitive camping. I love fishing. I love Mexico. After a 10+ year hiatus, I may have to reconsider my policy of not going there.

The day I change my policy will probably be the day I get arrested and thrown in jail again.

Pulls mustache, ... ponders ...

The adventure traveler part of me says yes, go, ...
The side of me that makes rational executive decisions says it's better to go somewhere else.

Has anyone fished in Panama?

Yes sir, Panama is great fishing, and a beautiful country. BUT impossible to do on a couple of hundred dollars a week! I can fish Baja all year for what a trip to Panama would cost.

Thanks fellas. Mr. NiceGuy, I can honestly say I've never felt nervous or scared while down there. It was nice to see other Americans vacationing there with their children, and couples enjoying their anniversary. It's also nice to be traveling with a few fellas who have been down there enough times to know the 'do's and don'ts'. There is an array of species to target and plenty of time to just relax and chill out with a margarita. Haha... Hopefully you make it down there someday. :cheers1:

Thanks for putting together the awesome video, Mike. I had a blast meeting you and hanging out. Too bad we couldn't get that last whale shark on the go pro. I learned a lot on this trip, including the need to take a higher quality fly reel to battle those brutes. My White River fly reel from BassPro finally blew up on the twelfth skipjack!! Every single one of those suckers, as well as a lot of the sierras took me deep into my backing--very good times.

You sir, are a very cool dude, and I'm looking forward to future adventures with you and my other Baja Brothers :cheers1:

Last but not least a big shout out to Mako for making this thing happen. Thanks Bob!!!!

That is very, very generous Bob. I love Mexico, I've been there many times for both business and pleasure. And next year my youngest son will be in HS so I won't be committed to spending 5 months every summer/fall coaching youth football anymore. I might be able to swing a trip to paradise!

Andy IF you want it to happen, you will make it happen. The September and October trips are always full because it is the best fishing and weather of the year. The Roosters should stay in the area for YEARS as there are so many young fish there now. Large WSB should start showing up soon. Water temps were in the mid 80's last week. We caught lots of pargo from the panga trips. Those who could not make the trip this year missed a great one.

Guys you know what happens when you get old? You forget things, some times IMPORTANT things.
All those skippys were the perfect BAIT size for fishing grouper from the panga, the 50-200 pound grouper love them whole. Sorry I had a senior moment on that one. Tight Lines.

Some put rap, some put rock or techno. I thought I'd kick it up a notch and do something never been done before. Something ground breaking and more hard core! And that's when it hit me. ~CELINE~
Plus, aren't fishing and church about the same thing? :D

Great Video Mike!!!
Boy I really miss that place. It's been several years since I've been down.
Was one of the best keeped secrets for kayak fishing I know.
Would love to go down again with a fun group like the guys you went with.
All my buddies have moved out of Cali.
If by chance you read this, would love to know when some of the guys go down and maybe go with sometime.
That's the place that got me hooked into kayak fishing in the year 2000.

If I go back I need to practice fly casting.

My only experiences fly fishing were in Alaska where I only had to cast a fly about 6 feet in front of me to catch silver salmon up to 20 lbs. and arctic grayling which were great fun on a fly rod.

Awesome, Thanks Mike.
Will be bringing my Fly gear for sure.
My pops lives in Cody Wyoming so fly fishing is a no brainer.
Hell maybe get to meet some new peeps and head up to his little ranch on the N Shoshone River. It's OK for fly fishing:p

Any chance of getting that schedule??
My work schedule is pretty hectic and would love to plan a trip down in 2016, April or May is when I'm thinking.

Really can't wait to get back down, it's been way to long.
