I'm gettin tired of catching a bait fish
Then trolling or fly lining it out
It gets stolen
Or just gives up swimming
Then I gotta go back to where the bait was and get another
Then I try again and repeat
Makes kayak fishing a lot more kayaking than fishing
So I hit Andy up for an Xtank to go with my brand new second hand yak

Thanks for hookin up the kayak fishaholic
Me and my son are enjoying it

Anyway he orders it and I anxiously wait
Hit him up today right after fishing Dana point this afternoon
Just to check on the wait status
He says its in and almost done
I ask if I could shoot over
He says he should be able to finish it
So I finish up loading my kayak and gear into my truck
Jump on the freeway and make my way over
Traffic makes it hard to get there before close
I give him a call and let him know traffics lookin bad
I still got a half hour before closing time
So I tell him I'll keep him posted on my progress
It's now almost 530 closing time
I give him a call and tell him I'm about to exit off the 22
He says cool no worries just shoot over
Hell yeah
I get there about 15-20 minutes later
Pick up my new tank
Looks great
Can't wait to try it out

If you're reading this Mr. Iceman
Thanks again for stayin open an extra half hour for me
Really do appreciate it

I think it's safe to say that Andy has done more to help out ppl on this board than just about anyone. Myself included. Always helpful, and always patient with someone new to the sport.

Didn't wanna take up anymore of his time
So I didn't ask
Do I take the battery out to charge it
And how long do I charge it for
Do I keep it on the whole time I got bait in it
Etc
Anything else I should know
Newbie questions for a first time bait tank owner and horrible with electronics
Thanks

Andy, by far, has the best customer service in the industry.

Thank you again for going out of your way for us.

run it constantly and see how long it lasts. if u plan on stayin out longer than that next time then either get another battery or turn it on and off. especially if you only have a few baits the on off technique works fine. if your bait tank is loaded with macs you probably need to leave it on full time.

Romie, thanks! you can charge it without taking the leads off the battery if you want, just put the charger clips on the battery terminals. That is a "smart" charger so you can't overcharge the battery. It is a 1/2 amp rate, so overnight is plenty good. Run it the whole time you have bait in the tank. Battery should last you about 8 hours on a full charge.
