Deamon is paid so the next two paid will share a room Friday night with Jim. Svendawg is going but not paid yet. The area around San Quintin is all great fishing this time of year, from rock fish to WSB in the PLUS 60 class, the past two years I have seen 4 WSB over 70 lbs. in June caught in the bay there. So WHO is next. You do not need to stay, you can just fish the Halibut Tournament on Saturdaythen go home. BIGGEST HALIBUT on Saturday wins the whole enchilada, the whole pot, all the marbles and ALL the CASH too!!! Luck to all.
Looking for a few HALIBUT FISHERMEN from the SEWER..........You got lot's of notice this year.
I'm going so I can get a bigger Butt than Jim

Come on Joezee man, be cool on us but ...since you've already paid, you gotta know The Bob rules:
Bob expects us to keep our room's door unlocked...see details below
Old dudes (Bob) get respect and they like their bunions rubbed with Epsom Salt after every trip. Bring plenty and don't forget the nail clippers
When the ocean's chilly nighttime breeze enters our hotel room (through the cracks in the walls and window sills), Bob prefers the youngest dude to spoon up with him so his arthritis doesn't start acting up and so far...looks like you're the youngest on this trip pal...P.S.: he may repeatedly whisper Sven's wife's name (Hilda) into your ear.
Oh yeah, Joezee, bring red lipstick...Danno told me that's Bob's color preference
Last thing...when Bob's "grunting" on you in the middle of the night...just take it like a man and don't wake the rest of us up because we're getting up early in the morning to go fishing.
Double Last Thing: The dude in the pic below...be afraid, be very afraid

Yo Jim. Why don't you bring down some popsicle squid and maybe give me a lesson in nighttime fishing.

Rossman just confirmed, so that makes 6 to fish the tournament with lots of time left to sign up. Who's next? San Quentin is not as hot as the Sea of Cortez, June is normally in the mid 70's. Pismo clams and oysters are caught locally and taste awesome. Tight Lines.

Sorry Jay, sometimes life just gets in the way. Maybe next year.
How about the rest of you so called Butt Buddies? All KAYAK HALIBUT fishermen are invited, even the highly talented members from TEAM SEWER and ANY FLY FISHERMEN.
The day AFTER the tourney some of us will head south for about a week to stock the freezers. All are welcome, just contact me. I will be gone in a week for Kentucky so it might take a while for me to get back to you. Tight lines.

I am still in Bob. I will have a houseguest that will also be in. I'll Paypal you another entry fee next week. Since I will not be traveling alone, I will not be sharing a room with you that I think I remember you offering. Probably camp a good bit of time and maybe a room closer to the launch for a couple nights. Welcome back amigo.

There were bigger fish caught in the days before and after tournament day. The winning fish was even beat during the tournament. 6.51 pounds did win even though a bigger fish was released. Fun time had by all. 13 people paid to play. 11 fished and one local mexican angler WON. Angel was the winner. He took home $325.00 for his efforts. If Troy posts you might hear the rest of the story. Thanks to all who attended. Next year will be even better. The Don Eddies hotel was great, Tony the owner lead us out to the BEST launch area by the old light house. The road out and back was driveable with 2WD and nobody got stuck. Tight Lines and maybe next year will work out for YOU.
