Nice. I went a similar route with some power wheels I found in an alley.

Nice job but I think Ill pay more than $10 to have a kid, buy him/her a powerwheels, wait for him/her to outgrow it then steal the wheels.
Ill keep an eye out for some in back alleys. Wheels not kids.

Expensive? You obviously have not owned a boat before. I'm all about do it yourself though. Good job, I hope it works well.

GREAT start, if those tires do not work well with soft sand like BAJA you can always just change out the wheels with a set of LARGER WHEELEZE Tires and you should be good to go anywhere you wish. Tight Lines.

I actually used these already with a slightly different design and they work Great! they are very wide, light and hollow plastic with tread.

As a past boat owner I will advise you to not rush into it lol.
Maybe a famous quote will ring a bell, "The best day a boat owner ever has is the day he buys the boat and the day he sells it." -unknown

The way I heard it is.... "The second best day is when One buys a boat. The best day is when he sells it!"

I shoulda thought of that!
Tested the cart today, works very well and the wheels roll over soft sand. Doesnt even need a strap to hold it down.
Highly recommend this DIY if you can get your hands on some powereheels.

These are the wheels that I use copper tubing frame. These wheels are about 3 years old and still are like new they were built by a friend so all I know is they work.:luxhello:

Awesome, this setup is probably lighter then mine.
You're right these wheels work amazingly well. I have a friend that bought the narrow rubber wheels from home depot to build a cart and they do not work at all for him.
