This is good to have in case you flip your kayak or if you fell off the kayak. Its simple to inflate just like the flotation device on a plane.
I've flip my kayak before and took me 20-30 mins to get back on with a help of a friend. This would help you get back on yourself with the use on your paddle. You can search for a video on how to use it.
