I've noticed they stop biting around noon, 8-noon seems to be ideal. Strange that u didn't hit any.

Thanks for the report. Did you at least meter any? Could be full of red crab?

Did you stick to one spot?
I usually start a drift and will continue it until I get hit, the drift usually parallels the prior one. Sometimes you can be off the mark by just a few feet, resetting and drifting usually helps you find the mark.

Approximately how long did it take you to get to your desired spot? I'm curious as to how much time I need to allow to get out there.

It took us about 30 minutes from kids beach.. We drifted pretty far and moved a little.. What I wanna know is do you guys try to look for activity on your ff or just rock bottom/structure?

You should be able to mark them on or just off the bottom. Lots of mackerel around too so I'd focus on the bottom.

Both. Take some time out and just mark empty spots that look like great structure too. I have often returned to find them holding fish.
