I just bought both last week...not cheep. sx was 200, mxl 2-speed raptor was 420. i paired them with 2 custom wrapped rods a med/hvy and med/soft. i could not be happier.

Sorry I'm addicted to the avets I have three already just looking to add to the collection/addiction lol. I just picked up a mxj raptor in dorado coloring I wouldn't trade it for the world lol

I have 2 SX MC single speeds, 1 MXL MC single speed and 1 MXL Raptor and am on the hunt for a deal on a HXJ MC two-speed.

I am completely amazed how solid those reels are on Hali's, YT and tuna. Never an issue with them for me.
