LJ launching area

I see contruction is going on to the drainage at the LJ launch. It looks like no passenger vehicles can drive onto the beach. Can anyone please tell me, can you still wheel your kayak down to that area or do you need to go down the steps by the heads (restrooms)?

3 weeks ago it was restroom area wheel down to the stairs by the launch and go down there, there is more sand along the steps...
