[B]B]As we had announced at the HOW event we were in the process of putting together some things and trying to come up with some dates to hold get togethers and/or tournaments. Being that the year is well under way and a lot of scheduling has already been done it is tough to come up with dates. So right now we are looking at May28th. Yes it is a holiday weekend, but we would be looking at a quick event. Something like 5am to 10am on Mission Bay for Spotties only. Please let us know if you would be able to make this date. We were also thinking of doing a pot luck similar to the old Money Between Friends Events. Chime in!

We are going to work something into this event to make it as a points qualifying event for the Kayak Bass Fishing National Championship. This will be related to California Kayak Bass Fishing. We are hoping to get some more of you to jump on board for this one. Still working out details so keep checking back.

Damn!! I am going to be out of town that weekend for the Indy 500, but I'd love to fish in another event.

Also as and FYI there is a HOW event that same day on Mission Bay

Alright everyone we have set the plans.

This will be a CKBF Event. (California Kayak Bass Fishing)
Mission Bay May 28th 5:30AM-11AM
Launching at OEX; beach behind the softball field
Boundaries: All of the Mission Bay that is legal to fish with the west boundary being the West Mission Bay Dr Bridge. You can fish up to the bridge but can not go under or past it. Mariners cove and Quivira Basin are out of bounds.
Spotties only
Largest 3 fish, $5
Big Fish, $5
We will be weighing the fish. Must be alive and 14 inches minimum length.
No dead fish will be weighed
Artificials only, No live or cut bait!
Fish from a pedal or paddle kayak and a paddle board. Motors are ok!
The standings from this event will count towards the KBF National Championship for 2017.

We are going to have access to a BBQ and would like to do a pot luck like the old Money Between Friends events.
Please post up here if you are coming and what you can bring food wise. We will fill in food as needed depending on the number of entrants and what people are bringing.

If you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask. Richard or myself will answer you as soon as possible.

We want this to be a fun event but also cut towards the National Championship points for the KBF. So come out and fish easy or fish hard, as long as you come out.

Thank you
Kerry Peeler

For those than plan to fish this tourney, is anyone against getting there and supporting HOW and starting our event after lunch? This would allow people that have already committed to HOW to fish the tourney.

Standing by....please speak up!!!!

its gonna be tough to commit to a place after lunch any where around the beaches. 3 day weekend.

Ok...so in an effort to make this work...Tourney will start as planned for those that are not committed to HOW, with a change to the end time of 4pm. This will allow the HOW volunteers time to get out after lunch and fish as well. Split weigh in 11am and 4pm. Any questions, please let Kerry or I know.

What tourney do you register under for the kbf series.

We can discuss all the options in the morning or at anytime during the day. This event does not require actual KBF registration.
