Have you tried putting the bait tank in with that seat, i saw you have to tweek the back bar in order to squeeze it all together? Also it looks like the front hatch is unable to open with that particular seat?

I saw the youtube video as well, you don't really have to bend it, my buddy just did this to his outback and he did not bend it as well. He just had to move it forward until the tank cleared, and then set the mounts. The front hatch opens just fine.

Does this upgrade work on specific year out backs only? Wanting to do it on an 09.

It should work on all outbacks. The outback pictured is a 2011.
