Alright fellas,

I have recently relocated to Oregon fromSan Diego and the week I have come to a cruel realization that the weather is not in our favor. Instead of fishing in shorts I need waders!

Opinions on personal preferance for what brand that is stellar and affordable would be greatly appreciated.

When I resided in Humboldt County, I used to fish the streams, rivers and ocean a lot with a pair of Hodgman Neoprene waders and wading boots. Nothing fancy, but worked fine and I still have them nearly 10 years later and they still work fine.

You'll probably find a breathable pair to be more comfortable though.

Higher quality Brands are:
Orvis, Simms or Patagonia.

Sierra Trading Pos (http://www.sierratradingpost.com/waders~d~243/)t often has deals

Kokatat (https://kokatat.com/) is a very quality brand that provides nice alternatives to waders for those in Northern climates.

If you go the wader route to always wear a pdf and wading belt.

Defiantly breathable, you can always where long johns or sweats underneath, those neoprene ones are little congested if you know what i mean.

Hodgman is what i have an I love them.

Evan-if you plan to go more or less year round I would just make the jump to a drysuit.

Thanks a lot for the input guys! I'm on NWKA already. I just thought I would find out from my original kayak family first. Everyone I've ever met down here is very knowledgable. (I'm not saying NWKA's are not).

Stay way from the cloth Hodgman waders. I had a pair and they leaked after 3 uses. They basically make them out of a non waterproof cloth, and then they spray this thin rubber film on the inside. Not very durable.
