Yep. I did it. I crossed the line. Today I went to OEX Mission Bay to test several Kayak with the intent of picking up a Kraken. I had wanted one for some time so I went and paddle the 15.5, OK but not too much different feeling then my Cuda 14, Then I pedaled a Hobie Revo 13 that they had on a special deal they had new not used. It totally surprised me I had not pedaled a Hobie and by looking at the hull shape I though the secondary stability would be as bad or worse then what I was trying to replace. To my surprise it has a lot of stability and it must be the fins because the bottom of the hull had nothing to tell you it would not roll over easily. Then I tried the Kraken 13.5 it was good and I liked it a lot more then the large brother. If it had not been that I had just tried the Revo 13 I would have taken the Kraken 13.5 home it is a real good kayak, but the same stability and having the hands free won out. Can't wait to take it out to LJ on Monday and then on the Islander 2.5 day trip at the end of the week. Suddenly Life Is Good!

You'll love it! I really recommend upgrading the fins and rudder if you haven't already.

Yep, I got both. Put the rudder on today the turbo fins they were out of so they'll have then for me by Tuesday or so.

If you don't mind saying how much? A lot of guys turn to the revo even some of the pa guys.

It's tough padding all day especially on a loaded deck with fish when venturing further south. It's also tough to fish multiple lines witha paddle yack without having to drop your rod to get a few strokes in to keep that flylined mack away

It was one that had the rudder damaged during transport, so they had replaced it and had some minor scratches on the bottom rear. Had a couple extra things like ram ball mount added and they had it discounted $250. Price came to $2300. I figured that buying a new paddle yak then having to buy a Paddle for $275 to $400 and on some models a seat at least $175 and about $230 to add a rudder. Before you know it the price difference isn't as much as you think.

Yet....I want a unsinkable plastic little boat with a electric motor with power trim and a steering wheel, and I want to be able to load it in the back of my truck.Twin screws would be nice for safety then i could go up and down waves like crab boats scaled down.....
