Jeff Lowe offered to show me around San Diego Bay so I took the drive down to Chula Vista marina for a six am rendezvous. A lot of short spots were hitting but we couldn't locate the halibut or corvina. I did catch a couple of legal bass and maybe had a butt on, something big grabbed my swim bait that I couldn't get off the bottom with my light tackle, all in all the bite was pretty good until about 11 then it died. It was good to meet Jeff, we are going to try a different area next time. I'm still looking for that first legal halibut

Good hearing a report. It reminds me I need to try fishing j street,especially since my kayak is stored 5 min from there.

Thanks Harry! I'll be glad to split transportation and parking costs. I'll have to wait till Summer when my wife's on break.

Didn't end up going out. I got there and just felt like crap. I have a cold that's kicking my butt. We're aiming for dana pt or mission for next week.
