I did notice the bottom and sides have some scrapes/scratches but nothing deep and nothing that changes performance.

I had a dark colored kayak before (dark forest green Malibu), never again. Every little scratch stood out as a lighter color making it look beat up. Light colors don't show scratches that bad.
