Well worked a half day and decided to try an afternoon session. I launched at 1415 and was back on the beach at 1615. I made bait quickly after getting out of the reserve. I made my way out to 115ft east of the hotel. I spotted some birds moving on bait so I tossed my flat fall. Bam first cast and it was on. He fought really tuff but in the end I won. When I got him up and stuck him I realized I had him hooked in the side. This is my personnel best from the kayak 28.5lbs bleed out. Very stoked.

Oh man, a foul hooked yellowtail can be an interesting fight... especially when its thick! Congrats on the personal best.

Nice one. Sardine pattern? Did he hit it on the fall or retrieve? Ive caught em on the retrieve, but never been able to get one to bite on the fall like the tuna will.
