Decided it was time to hit up Tidelands for the first time this year. Launched solo at about 4:00 pm. Tide was WAY low that it seemed like I had to drag my yak almost halfway to the sailboats to launch.
Paddled out to my first spot and on the second cast got a nice spottie. Drifted back and forth along the outside of the moored boats for more spotties.
Drifted over to a hali honey hole that Sherm and I know of and sent down a jerk bait on a dropper loop. Wasn't down there for 2 minutes and WHAM! I knew from the tell tale headshakes what it was and reached back for my net. Got it up and missed the first try, got him up again and right into the net. The flattie went 25".
Stayed in that spot for 2 more "pop tart" flatties then drifted out towards the pillers. Caught several more spotties and called it a night at around 7:00 pm.
Count was 14 spotties and 3 flatties.
Nice afternoon on the water. Sun was warm, tide was moving, wind wasn't too bad, and got a nice feesh for dinner.
Peace,
