Just picked up a new rod and reel for calico’s which I’ve never targeted and looking for some guys to show me the ropes!! Picked up a Shimano Tranx and Phenix inshore.23381

I have been looking to fish the ventura area for sometime. If your ever down, I hear Leo Carrillo holds some monster bottom fish/calicos.

I’m down!! I’m wanting to get out sometime this weekend. Not sure of the day if not both but I’d like to get out there.

Swell looks up on Saturday boys. Still doable but I would leash everything down.

With Surfline predicting 3-5 foot (waist to head high) for Saturday I think channel island harbor is where I will be heading.

Thanks for update. I went out a couple weeks ago in water like that and regretted it. I haven’t had any luck out of CIH.
