I was there Sunday around 11am or noon. Two knuckleheads, both in large 4x4 trucks managed to get stuck going on the south side of the barrier. One got unstuck and began to help the other. I just went around them on the other side of the barrier in my midsize 2wd truck. Everyone says southern californians need a county fair... Aparently we also need rain and some off-road access to hone our skills..

Thanks for that story! I always admire the little truck that outsmarts the 4X4 's. :notworthy:

You should have to pass a common sense test before passing the three-way stop by automobile.

Sorry for the traffic jam at the launch!!
I thought strapping my yak on the roof would add to much weight and might have got stuck again.

The sand was bad SAturday. I watched several trucks get stuck, but the best part was watching the black bikini help pushing them out.
The south sand is light and fluffy. Large heavy 4x4's will get stuck if they do not know how to coast thru the sand. You are fortunate enoguh that a midsize truck like a tundra or ranger is very light and should not bog or sink. Saturday I 'outsmarted' the stuck tacoma by just going out thru the in door. :the_finger:

Yes that cam is great. My wife insists I call her on the cell before I pass the Cam so she can watch me drive by.
I think she wants to know I am really fishing when I leave the house every weekend morning...lol!
