Makobob Surgery update. As some of you know I was hospitalized earlier this month. I
turned septic AGAIN. The bone was scratched and reinfected last month during a
debredment. Happens a lot I am told.
So I saw the wound care Doctor again today. Yes 7 stitches might come out next week.
Yes wound looks clean and healing well. AND still on schedule for fitting and making the
fake leg late August. IF and only IF there are no complications.
There is as of today just the 7 stitches, lots of new skin and the only open spot is less
then one inch long and maybe 1/4 inch wide. Thay would bring the healing process to 90%.
However last time when the stitches came out the wound slowly opened up. Yes there were
only 60+ THEN, and now we are down to 7. Things are really looking up. And then he told me.
If the wound tries to reopen this time he WILL put me on hyperbaric treatment which takes 5
days a week and goes 6 weeks. That would be a tuff one for me with the season coming on
strong.
BUT hyperbaric is great and he said he highly doubts it will be needed. So it looks like my next
trip to Gonzaga will be on the 27th of July for a week. Thank you all for keeping me in your
prayers and I hope to sea you in mako-ville this season. Tight Lines friends.
