Launched at 6:40 before the Carlsbad gustapo showed up to harass us about permits to us the lagoon. Had a kayak scoop from oceanside harbor. My buddy couldn't keep them off his line probably 8-9 fish 4 of which were halibut 1 legal. I pulled 2 smooth hounds out and got broken off by Fished until 3. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20190624/586c810a7e3915d14a09bdbebbcb1463.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20190624/732fea923b6b919c21f4cb2cf804d0a0.jpg

Very nice! I’ve wondered how that lagoon was for fishing.

So did you have a permit to use the lagoon for fishing? I didn't know you needed a permit other than a fishing license.

Wow. That kinda sucks. I wonder if that same applies to a float tube although the tide change would be a major pain in a tube there.

With a paddle kayak you have to have an anchor or you drift too fast. Float tubes are easier to launch from other places to so you can avoid the fuzz
