Favorite Shrimp to buy from the store

What is everyone favorite shrimp to buy from the store for rockfish, cooked or raw? Shelled or unshelled???

I only use shrimp for sheepshead: I go to ranch 99 and get the cheapest smallest ones with heads and shells. I like to wrap them around a treble hook and put the hook right on the bottom. Braid to a very shirt dropper loop you feel the nibbles.

What size treble are you using? Haven't specifically targeted goats before, but have been wanting to give it a go! From what I understand, they can be a little shy around larger hooks...

I think it’s a 2/0. I put all three prongs in the shrimp. They’re very good at stealing the shrimp off a regular hook. I’m no specialist though. Maybe some of the guys that fish them a lot can chime in.
