I am on the board. Lots of missed opportunities in the last 2 months. I’ve been hitting it hard. Lost a few yellows in the kelp. I even lost this guys brother at color 3 weeks ago. This time I made no mistakes. I even broke the 50 mark. 52” and scaled him at 50.5 lbs. It’s been a long time since I posted, and this is worthy for a July submission. Happy holidays everyone. Be safe.

My first time making wsb sushi. I’ve been craving some yellowtail all year long. This will suffice. Hopefully the tail bite will improve soon. Enjoy everyone.

Nice catch! How was the sushi?
Better than yellowtail. I’ve made civiche sea bass before and it’s good, but I wasn’t reel keen on trying sushi sea bass. Now I know what I’ve been missing. Needless to say, sea bass is mild, especially compared to yellowtail. I would highly recommend trying it. Believe me, I know how rare catching these things can be.

Thanks! I’ve always wondered. Now I have to try to catch one.

Congratulations - it certainly needs a set of skills to catch & land. :notworthy:

Slow start. I hope everyone’s season is taking off as well as mine is. Slow start on the yellows. Maybe they will make a late show for me. One thing is for sure, I am not short of table fare. Tight lines.
