Has anyone gone out of Huntington Harbor since they did the construction. Was thinking of heading out to the oil rig this weekend

I called Huntington Harbor Patrol and they said no kayak still. I asked if I can go out with my gas powered solo skiff and he still tells me no.

Thanks for the info. Have they said when it would be open to kayaks?

He said maybe when they are completely done. I thought they were done, no?
You can always go out of Los Alamitos bay to get to the oil platform. Some people launch from 69 Pl and it's about 2.5miles to the oil rig. Be careful there's a lot of boat traffic and they go fast in the channel.
