Just a couple of bugs from last night. It was beautiful but choppy and windy early on. It calmed down around 8pm. Launched around 3:30pm and off the water by 9pm.
A sea lion got to all but one of my bait cages. Fortunately, I have already pulled two legals before it cleaned out the cages.

Many thanks to Alex (SoCal Beach Bum) for giving me tips and showing me the ropes.

Awesome job Quang. Seems like you’re a quick study, also had a good teacher.

Thank you, John.
That sea lion was such an ass! It managed to open the Promar PVC bait cages and got away with all the salmon heads. It got something out of one of the hoop and was tossing it around on the surface. It was too dark to see what it was. Even if it didn't get to the bait, I don't think any bug would venture out because it was just swimming around the area, taunting me. I am very happy with the two keepers though. Can't wait to go out on another session soon.

LOL any thing would look huge with close up shots. They were about 1/2" over the size limit. Not giant but they are so meaty.
